Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University,
formerly Purvanchal University, is an public state university based in the
Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in 1987 as a
residential-cum-affiliating university. It is named after the Shri Veer Bahadur
Singh, the former chief minister of the Uttar Pradesh
Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (VBSPU) formerly known as Purvanchal University is are located in Jaunpur, was founded on October 2, 1987, in the Uttar Pradesh. Computer Centre:
The University are provides a well-furnished air-conditioned computer lab that provides quality service to the university community in the computing facilities, E-mail, etc. The lab equips with the following software and hardware like a windows operating system, SPSS, Ms-office, etc.
Hostel:
The university campus offers
residential facilities for the students admitted to the University. There is a
separate boys and girls hostel with a fixed capacity to accommodate the students. Each room has
two beds, a cupboard, a study table, and a chair for each student.
Library:
The Library premises are under CCTV
surveillance to control unethical incidents. The library has Wi-Fi
connectivity to provide the Internet as well as e-Resource facilities to its
users. The present Library stock comprises 1,12,654 books, 376 professional
Indian and foreign journals and magazines, 557 back volumes of journals, 54333
Ph.D. theses, 765 CD, 15 Newspapers, 216 Govt. publications, press clippings

The auditorium with a capacity of 1000 are provides the students with a platform to unmask their hidden talents. UGC, CSIR, JRF, NET, GATE, or a SLET or equivalent exam are exempted from

VBSPU Undergraduate Selection
The selection of B.A. LLB aspirants is done

VBSPU Postgraduate Admission
Applying candidates must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from of recognized University / Institute.
MBA, M.Sc., MJMC, and MA selection are done
on the basis of candidates’ marks are obtained in the PUCAT entrance examination.
The seat allotment is done by UPSEE.
Selection to the MCA course will be on the basis of marks are secured by the candidate in the UPSEE entrance examination.
PUCAT
Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test (PUCAT) is a state-level offline test conducted by the Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University for admission to various courses. The entrance examination fee for the test is INR 567 for the general category candidates and INR 280 for reserved category students. The application fee payment is to be done in the offline mode only. Once the students have appeared for the examination and cleared the cut-off, they are shortlisted for admission through PUCAT counseling.

Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University are offers MBA in six specializations, MHRD, and MCA. Minimum eligibility for the PG courses is a candidate must have passed Graduate Degree in the relevant specialization from an recognized university. Selection to MBA (General, E-Commerce, Agri. Business), MCA and the MHRD, is done on the basis of the UPSEE entrance exam score.
VBSPU B.Tech & B.Pharm Admission
Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University are provides UG courses in B.Tech, B.Pharm, and B.Pharm Lateral entry. B.Tech and the B.Pharm courses are offered for a duration of four years.
Minimum eligibility for UG Courses is a candidate are must have passed 10+2 or HSC exam in the relevant subject group from a recognized board. For the B.Pharm Lateral, a candidate must have passed D.Pharm from a recognized university.
Admission to BA-LL.B (Integrated) program is merit-based.

For MBA in HRD, Finance & Control, and
Business Economics, 57% of the seats are offered to candidates with the PUCAT
score, and the remaining 57% of the seats are allotted to candidates with
the UPSEE score.
Selection to the Ph.D. is done on the basis
of PUCRET conducted by the university followed by an interview.
