Sardar Beant Singh State University

Beant College of Engineering & Technology( BCET), Gurdaspur was established by the Government of Punjab in 1995 as an independent Institution through a registered society. The council is combined to Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar and honored by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Punjab. It’s accredited by the National Board of Accreditation( NBA), New Delhi and approved by All India Council for Technical Education( AICTE), New Delhi. The vision of the council is to grow and develop specialized professionals who can fulfill public and transnational bournes. The charge of the council is to produce a work culture in order to nurture the spirit of invention and hard work for wholesome literacy and knowledge updation. The council is positioned 4 kilometers from the Gurdaspur machine stand and 2 kilometers from the road station, Pathankot is 35 km and Amritsar is 75 km from the council lot.

Extra Curricular Conditioning 

NSS- The council has 06 NSS unit with capacity of 100 scholars each. It organises colorful conditioning like blood donation camp, cleanliness camp, tree colony programsetc. Throughout the time.

NCC- The council has a 01 NCC unit which works with end of developing rates of character, courage, fellowship, leadership and sportsmanship among scholars. It organises colorful conditioning like touring, drill training, youth exchange programmes and sports trainingetc.throughout the time.

Library 

The council library is spread over an area of 2800sq. mtrs. And has a air conditioned reading room with a seating capacity of 60 scholars. It has the collection of further than 28253 volumes and 10259 titles of books. It subscribes to 54 inter public journals and 81 public journals. It also subscribes to 19 magazines and 13 journals.

Computer Centre 

Computer centre has 432 bumps connecting all the departments and caravansaries with 12 Mbps leased line connectivity.

Hostel 

Available for both boys and girls independently. The council has 04 boys hotel and 01 girls hotel with accommodation capacity of 877 manly scholars and 200 womanish scholars.

The council Is conducting education in the Engineering disciplines of Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology & Mechanical Engineering at undergraduate position and Thermal Engineering, Production Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering at Post graduate position.

Admission inB.Tech is done through JEE Mains and forM.Tech, eligible campaigners will have to appear in GATE/ NET.

BCET Gurdaspur B.Tech Admission

BCET Gurdaspur offers Bachelor of Technology(B.Tech) to the scholars who want to take up Engineering as their career. The course is offered for four times and the total input capacity depends upon the nature of specializations decided by the campaigners.

The admission to colorful undergraduate specializations are made once a time typically during June- July by Centralized Counselling of PTU Jalandhar( uniting University) or as directed by the university/ Punjab Govt from time to time on the base of Joint Entrance Examinations- Main( JEE Main) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education( CBSE), New Delhi.

BCET Gurdaspur M.Tech Admission

The council offers Master of Technology(M.Tech) and Master of Science(M.Sc) at postgraduate position in five different specializations for a duration of two times. The number of seats depends upon the nature of specializations decided by the campaigners. 

The admission toM.Tech. programmes will be on the base of valid GATE/ NET Score in applicable discipline/branch.However, the campaigners without GATE/ NET score may also be considered as per guidelines of PTU Jalandhar/ Punjab Govt, If seats remain vacant.

National Eligibility Test or( NET) is conducted by CBSE and its sanctioned website

CGPA of 6.0 on a 10- point scale( or original) or 60 marks in case of General/ BC campaigners in qualifying degree is needed

Reflections

I was having Interest in mechanical engineering, cousins told that it’s a good council, so I taken admission in beant council, but was known latterly that there’s lower or no placement. Study quality was poor and no personality development was there 

Course Class Overview

It was veritably poor, faculty was good but the system of study and terrain wasn’t good, no personality development was there, no companies for placement used to come, no aptitude tests were conducted.

Placement Experience

Veritably less openings, veritably lower companies come for placement, fake companies come and package offered is veritably poor, and politics work in placement. No personality development handed by council.

College Events

Overall it was good, good people, good preceptors, good terrain, carnivals organised were also good, operation was good. Everyone had friendly nature and all were veritably helpful. Cultural carnivals were well managed. 

Lot Life

Structure was good, all installations were there, library was good enough, classrooms were good, labs were good with practical training, sports installations was also good, accoutrements in lab were proper to exercise with.

Reflections

I choose these as I want to computer wisdom and I was getting these council as these council is also in my megacity as council providedaverage placement so I do nt have any problem with these council. Good lot and sports conditioning are also their in our council. 

Course Class Overview

College has veritably good course class. The professors are educated and helpful. The course might not be that important applicable but overall it’s good and enough to give placements. There 2 artificial training so scholars can hope to get assiduity ready. Council has average academics record.

Placement Experience

Placement aren’t so good but if we work hard also more around 40 scholars were placed, the loftiest payment offered was2.8 Lacs and the smallest was1.2 Lacs. The companies were Amazon, zapbuild, lenstrack, sachtect etc. The places were like software mastermind, web inventor, full mound inventor. Around 30 pupil got externship from my course

Council Events

Events are also organised specialized as well as artistic also.24 * 7 library. Completely Wi- Fi lot, caravansaries are good and cheap. Food in hotel is good. A apothecary is there, 2 canteens, And all kind of sports and artistic conditioning are performed. You get to share University position sports competitions and in the University youth jubilee. You can join several societies and learn a lot and embrace new chops.
