Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University erstwhile known as Bhavnagar University is a State University, recognized by the UGC, established in 1978 by the State of Gujarat and sprawling in the vast 279 acres of land and spread over 4 locations, located in the Bhavnagar city in the western province of the Gujarat, India. It is accredited by NAAC, New Delhi. The University is a member of The Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The university gives teaching and research programs in the Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Management, Rural Studies, Medicine and Law Faculties. It has 25 PG departments and four recognized institutes and research centers respectively. The university provides many courses like a UG, PG, PhD and Post Graduate Diploma courses in are various disciplines and its specializations.

Under Bhavnagar University Admissions, the university provides 55 UG, PG, PhD and the PG Diploma Courses under 4 recognized institutes and 116 affiliated colleges under many of faculties such as Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Management, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Rural, Faculty of Homeopathy, and Faculty of Dental. The University is an institute of international recognition, has been offering educational and developmental, training, faculty enrichment, and social awareness programs. Its land-estate area is 199 acres. The University has three constituent Colleges since its are inception. The Samaldas Arts College in more than 120 years old, Sir P.P. Institute of Science and the M. J. College of Commerce is are providing UG in Commerce and Business Administration.

Computer Center

The presence of a computer center gives the students ample facilities to avail modern techniques to make them fully prepared are for everything.

It was established in the year 1990 and from then it has been working in the university

The computer center gives best services to the admin. Department for their accounting, salary, cash counter, results in the processing, and application downloads etc. works.

A total of 27 computers, 2 line printers, 2 laser printers and 3 scanner are there in the computer center.

Students Recognition at National and an International Level 

 Krishnakumar Sinhji Bhavnagar University is a private university which are located in the Bhavnagar city in the western province of the Gujarat. It was established in the year 1978. The university is a UGC approved university. 

MK Bhavnagar University offers various undergraduate and the postgraduate courses. The undergraduate courses are B.Com, BBA, BSc, BCA and B.L.I.Sc. 

The postgraduate courses run are MA, M. Sc, M. Phil, PhD, MCA, MBA, M. Com, Post graduate diploma and the MSW.

The minimum eligibility for admission in MA, PhD, M. Sc, MBA, MCA, MSW and M. Com is passed in the graduation in a related field.

For all the above courses, the selection criteria is merit in the qualifying exam

The minimum eligibility requirement for PhD is passed in the master’s degree with 55% aggregate marks

Selection for PhD is based on the merit in the qualifying and the entrance examination.

The minimum eligibility requirement for B.Com, BBA, BSc, BCA and the B.L.I.Sc. passed in 10+2 in a relevant stream from a recognized university.

Selection of the candidates is based on merit in the qualifying exam. The application process can be completed through online mode.

Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam after appearing in the supplementary exam conducted by the Board is also eligible for admission in the current academic year on vacant seats

Those who have passed the qualifying exam from other than Gujarat Board will be required to obtain PEC (Provisional Eligibility Certificate) from the Academic Section of M. K. Bhavnagar University before registration.

For BBA – Candidates must have English subject as a mandatory subject in 10+2.
