JAWAHARLAL NEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY KAKINADA 

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada is the public university. This university at the time of its establishment in the 1946 was known as The College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam. University College of Engineering, Kakinada was ranked 317 among universities by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in the 2019. JNTUK has three constituent colleges: 

·         University College of Engineering, Kakinada

·         University College of Engineering, Vizianagaram

·         University College of Engineering, Narasaraopet. 

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTU Kakinada) is a public university, in Kakinada, East Godavari district, North of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of India’s universities focusing on engineering. The university has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) with an “A” grade. JNTU Kakinada is known for its EAMCET entrance test where over 250,000 students take the test every year for the around 600 seats in its undergraduate engineering courses. All the selected top students for engineering programs enroll at the University College of the Engineering (Autonomous) Kakinada.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University was the originally ‘The College of Engineering, Vizagpatnam’ at the time of its establishment in 1946. It is now a sprawling campus of 110 acres, green with mango trees in the fast developing Port city of Kakinada, East coast of the peninsula India. Kakinada has a rich political literacy and cultural heritage passed on through the generations This college became a constituent of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University w.e.f 02-10-1972 through an act of the legislature along with other sister institutions under the control of the then Director of the Technical Education, Government of the Andhra Pradesh. Earlier, it was affiliated to Andhra University. In the year 2003 the college has become autonomous.

Procedure: Scores of ICET will be taken into the consideration. 

JNTUK Courses:

Universities many offers like ad B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Pharma, M.Pharma, MBA, and MCA programs. With the UG and PG courses JNTUK also offers a research program Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the various streams.

JNTUK Scholarship:

The university doesn’t provide any scholarships to students. However, a portal JNTU World gives the list of the scholarships given by the government and how can their candidates apply for it. Some of the scholarship programs mentioned are as follows: 

Minority Scholarships

·         Minority Scholarship mostly known as the MOMA Scholarship is one of the most popular scholarship programs around the country.

·         This scholarship program is provided to minority community students only. Every year 60000 minority group candidates benefit from this scholarship.

·         An amount of 30000 is given to the candidates directly to their account i.e. direct benefit transfer (DBT).

Telangana E-Pass Scholarship

·         Government provides post-matriculation scholarship to the candidates who are in need of it.

·         For the scholarship student must be a class X pass.

·         Post matriculation studies include as ITI, Polytechnic, professional courses, graduate, and post-graduate courses, Ph.D.

·         Students from backward Castes are eligible such as ST or SC with an Annual Income Less than 2 Lakhs.

·         Scholarship students have to the maintain 75% of marks in each semester.

·         Applicants for part-time courses are not eligible for this position.

·         Scholarships are not provided to the candidates joining training courses. 

JNTUK Kakinada PG Courses and Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility: Passed bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of the candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility: A candidate who has passed the bachelor’s degree (B.Pharma) of four years duration relevant stream or equivalent under 10+2+4 pattern from any recognized university.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada Doctoral Courses and Eligibility Criteria:

Program: Ph.D

Eligibility: Passed post-graduation with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for the reserved categories). 

The College is governed by the rules and the guidelines provided by the university from time to time. The Principal is the administrative and the academic Head of the Colleges. He is assisted by the Vice-Principal and the College Academic Committee in academic matters and the Deputy Registrar and the office staff in administrative matters. The day-to-day activities of the college are carried out by the budgetary allocation from the University fund. 

Facilities and Infrastructure:

Residential Accommodations: 

The college gives hostel lodging for almost approximately 400 boys and 300 girls. The hostels and eating areas/ meals courts had been renovated on the big scale with all current centers. 

Library: 

The Library targets to place the motto: “Books are for use”, into practice. The library has Text Books, Reference Books, Special Reference Books, Magazines, and Newspapers, CD and DVD Course Materials, Project reports, Back Volumes, etc. We take delight in the pronouncing that we’ve got an excellent collection of the books added to this, we’ve got an extensive series of Books in the Placement cell and General Books, which assist to growth the knowledge of our college candidates in one of a kind fields like as placements, competitive exams, and Research level works. 

Auditorium: 

There is an auditorium with a place of approximately 500 sq.m. connected with an outdoor theatre for organizing the features with a meeting of 500. 

Labs: 

The laboratories have been modernized and obsolete equipment has been replaced under the Modernization and Removal of Obsolescence (MODROBS). 

Medical Facilities: 

The college gives medical centers at the campus via a dispensary with the medical officer deputed through the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the helping personnel provided through the colleges.
