Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi (formerly known as the Ranchi college) was established in the 1946 as the college and upgraded to the university in 2017. DSPMU offers around the 39 courses spread across the different streams like as Humanities, Science, and Social Science. Apart from this, the university also offers the various Certificates, Diploma and Vocational Courses along with the Doctoral Degrees. Admission to the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses is the based on the merit list prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the concerned subjects at the Intermediate or Honors level respectively. Admission to the Vocational or Self-finance courses is on the basis of the Entrance exams conducted by the concerned department. It is mandatory for the students to the appear for the Entrance Test in order to apply for such courses.

Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University provides the scholarships and funding to all the students who belong to the SC or ST or OBC category. ·         If candidates wish to apply in more than one course, separate forms should be filled for the each course.

·         Application forms should be the submitted before the said deadlines. Forms submitted after the deadline will not be the entertained.

LL.M. (Vocational Course)           

Eligibility: Candidate must possess 3 years LL.B. Degree after the Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern or 5 years LL.B. Degree under 10+2+5 pattern recognized by the Bar Council of India and/or UGC with the minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

Duration: 2 years

Selection Criteria: On the basis of the merit list of the LL.M. Entrance Test organized by the LL.M. department. 

MBA (Vocational Course)            

Eligibility: Graduation in any Discipline with 50% marks in the Aggregate in the Bachelor’s Degree
