Cluster University of Jammu 

The Cluster University of Jammu that is CLUJ, is a collegiate public state university, located in the Jammu in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is a cluster of 5 colleges of Jammu city. It was established in year 2016 under The Srinagar and Jammu Cluster Universities Act, 2016 together with Cluster University of the Srinagar under the initiative of the centrally sponsored scheme, RUSA. Cluster University of Jammu along with the Cluster University of Srinagar was inaugurated by Prakash Javadekar, then Minister of HRD, Government of India on 17 April 2017. 

Cluster University is a Collegiate University established under the Srinagar and Jammu Act, 2016 of the centrally sponsored scheme, RUSA. Its integral success lies in its 5 constituent colleges which are the old and established colleges of Jammu city. The University has also established five Post Graduate Integrated Schools which include School of Sciences, the School of Social Sciences, School of Humanities and Liberal Arts, School of Engineering and Computer Technology and the School of Teacher Education.

We work relentlessly towards achieving the University?s strategic framework: Academic work of the highest quality, outstanding candidate experience and candidate engagement and community engagement and social Innovative steps to the higher education are the need of the hour and the University Grants Commission has come up with new suggestions to cluster colleges in groups to share their resources for the better prosperity of the students and teaching community. The University Grants Commission of India is of the opinion that the higher education is not a luxury affair for academia as well as for the policymakers and it has to be pursued earnestly with a lot of application-oriented research and development. 

The Institute offers a road map for navigating all the academic, cultural, sports, social and other extracurricular opportunities to the young students under one umbrella indicating the ethos of a Cluster- coming together as equals-unitary in spirit, yet federal in structure. This signifies the plurality and diversity of our Institute. 

Cluster University of Jammu is established under the provision of the Srinagar and Jammu Cluster University Act 2016 and is an initiative of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme, RUSA (Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan), to create new institutes through the upgradation of existing colleges and conversion of the colleges in a cluster. The established Cluster University of Jammu aspires to be a transformative University with 5 Constituent Colleges.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

Due to COVID-19 crisis, there will be no Entrance Exam (CLUJET) for the admissions to various study programmes offered by the University during the session 2021-22. Admission shall be made on the basis of the merit only.

1-Merit based Admissions to B.A/B.Sc./B.Com (Hons), M.A./ M.Sc./ M.Com/M.Ed. and Integrated PG study Programmes in various subjects in the Schools and Colleges of the Cluster University of Jammu.

2- Merit based admissions to UG Courses offered by the Constituent Colleges in the  Colleges of Cluster University of Jammu. 

Department of Student Welfare(DSW)

We expected you to be with us in institute by now but the unfolding COVID-19 crisis, we are grappling with, over a year and a half, has disrupted our education sector, world over. All the same, lockdown has witnessed a transgression to innovative digital learning wherein we are trying to explore ways to rekindle your spirits, also channelize your energies through a string of the virtual events enthusing productivity and creativity, till we are back to rejuvenate our campus life with a plethora of the rip-roaring activities. 

SPARSH

Cluster University of Jammu is committed to providing a place of work and study which is free of sexual harassment or exploitation or intimidation. Sensitization, Promotions Prevention and Redressal of Sexual Harassment (SPARSH) shall include the Apex body of SPARSH (ABS) and the University Complaints Committee (UCC). The ABS shall aim to sensitize and work to prevent the sexual harassment in the university. The UCC shall consider complaints regarding the sexual harassment, and will conduct enquiries, suggesting suitable action. 

EBSB

The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat aims to actively enhance interaction between candidates of diverse cultures living in different States and UTs in India, with the objective of promoting greater mutual understanding amongst them. Through EBSB at CLUJ, we endeavour to organise candidate and fraternity exchange programmes with our paired institute of another state to mutually understand and exchange knowledge about their language, culture, traditions and practices in sync with our efforts towards strengthening the unity and integrity of India. 

Sports and Games

Sports and games are an integral part of the learning and growth as they teach us punctuality, patience, discipline, teamwork and dedication. At the Cluster University of Jammu, we offer ample opportunities to achieve a healthy body and a nourished mind. 

Blaze is the Annual Sports fest of the Cluster University of Jammu with a plethora of the games and athletic events with participation of candidates from all the PostGraduate Schools and Constituent Colleges. It is one of the most sought after events at CLUJ. 

YuvTarang is the Annual Cultural and Literary festival of the Cluster University of Jammu with events spanning across a myriad of the genres that include music, art, theatre, dance, photography, quizzing, debates and literature. It serves as a rich platform for the candidates to showcase their talent and skills and is a much awaited event at the CLUJ Campus.
