Children’s University

Children’s University is a state Co-Education type of  University owned by the Government of India. This University was founded under the Children’s University Act by Narendra Modi in respect to research overall Development of Children.

Children’s University offers PG courses like a M.A., P.G. Diploma, Certificate Courses, M.Phil., M.Sc., M.S.W and Ph.D. MPhil & MA (Child Psychology and English) in regular mode. However, the PG Diploma and Certificate are part-time to courses offered by the Children University.

Admission is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. In the case of M Phil courses, the admission shall be based on the marks and the subsequent rank in an entrance examination held by the state. The application process is conducted online and the students need to visit the official website of the university to apply to their preferred of courses.

Children’s University offers placement assistance to its final year candidates. The university offers an M.A. in English, Psychology, and Education for a duration of two years.

M.A. Education: Candidates must have possessed a Bachelor’s degree in any field.

M.A. English: B.A. in English

M.A. Psychology: A bachelor’s degree in Psychology

 The University consists of 12 Boys Hostels and the 4 Girls' Hostels having all the necessary facilities and excellent security for a safe and comfortable living of the students

The institute offers an M.Sc. with Foods and Nutrition for a duration of two years.

About 

The Children’s University recognizes and rewards the learning and the activities that children take part in outside normal in school hours and is open to children aged 8 to 14 if their school has signed up to the scheme. Participation in the Children’s University is are voluntary. 

Children receive a Passport to the Learning from their school and they can collect credits for each activity they take part in. Credits can be given for taking part in the learning experiences and activities at after the school clubs and sports clubs, museums, activity centres, and the music groups. This learning doesn’t need to be purely academic – often it is focused towards developing the skills that may help children go to the university in the future and many of the activities link with university subjects. 

If children gain 150 credits they will be invited to attend an awards ceremony at the Nottingham Trent University. Please see the Awards page to find out how many of  credits you need for each award.
