Central University of Kashmir 

CU Kashmir was established in the 2009 via Central Universities Act, 2009. It is a University run by the Central Government, and presently it functions in the various transit campuses. Central University Kashmir has released CUKAT 2021 Answer Keys for the Research Program Admission. Visit the official website to check. 

Central University of Kashmir offers  the UG and PG Courses in various streams like as Science, Arts, Commerce, Management, Education, and other major subjects. It offers the integrated and PG Diploma courses too. 

CU Kashmir takes admission on the basis of the CUCET rank. For its engineering Courses, JEE Main, or GATE exam is the requirement as per the course offered. Eligibility is the Intermediate with 50% aggregate marks for UG Courses. For PG Courses, 50% aggregate marks in the Graduation is required. 

CU Kashmir provides Scholarships to its meritorious candidates on the basis of their performance in the End Semester Exams. It also offers facilities like Transport, Library, Browsing Center, and Hostels. 

Though CU Kashmir does not have the placement cell, yet its students are able to bag decent jobs in the companies like ITC, and HDFC. They also clear government exams and bag prestigious government services. 

CU Kashmir Facilities:

CU Kashmir provides a plethora of facilities to its candidates ensuring their development. 

Library: Equipped with a plethora of books to enhance the knowledge of students.

Hostel: It provides safe stay to candidates coming from faraway places. There are 2 girls and 1 boy hostel.

Transport: Transport facilities are provided to the candidates on a subsidized rate for to-and-fro motion from various parts of the nearby areas.

Browsing Centre: To ensure delivery of computing and communication services to staff, faculty, and candidates to support the learning, teaching, and research goals. 

CU Kashmir Admissions:

Admissions to B.Tech are made on the basis of the performance in JEE Mains. 

For M. Tech., admissions are made on the basis of the GATE/UGC Net/JRF/JEST exams. 

Admissions in the PG Courses are mostly made through marks in the CUCET Exam. Fee is the affordable. 

Selections to Ph.D. are made on the joint criteria of Merit and Test. Students must have a score card of NET/JRF/CUCET during admissions. 

CU Kashmir offers Courses of one-year duration. Candidates are admitted for the PG Diploma program on the basis of the CUCET rank. 

How to Apply?

·         Visit the official website of the CU Kashmir.

Register with a valid username and password.

·         Select the required course and pay up all the registration fee.

·         Fill up the application form accurately, and scrutinize it.

·         Upload the scanned images of all the documents asked.

·         Upload the color passport-sized photograph whenever asked.

·         Submit the form.

·         Save a copy for future reference.

·         Appear for counseling when called.

·         Seats will be allotted on the basis of the counseling. 

CU Kashmir Scholarships:

CU Kashmir promotes and encourages its candidates by providing them the scholarship under the Scheme “Merit Scholarship.” All the programs are covered under this scheme. 

Merit Scholarship Best two Students identified from End Semester Results Fellowship at the ?1000 per month. 

CU Kashmir Courses:

CU Kashmir, Srinagar offers 14 courses in the UG and PG streams. Both the full time and part time courses are available. Courses on PG Diploma are also present. Duration of the each course varies as per the requirement of the program.

Duration: 4 Years

Eligibility: Intermediate in Science stream from the recognized board.

Subjects: Computer Science and Engineering

B.Sc. + M.Sc.     

Duration: 5 Years

Eligibility: Intermediate with at least 50% marks from the recognized University

B.Ed. + M.Ed.    

Duration: 3 Years

Eligibility: Graduated from the recognized University with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Duration: 2 Years

Eligibility: B. Tech. in CSE/IT, or M.Sc. in IT from the recognized University with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Ph. D.   

Duration: 3.5 years

Eligibility: Masters’ Degree from the recognized University with minimum 55% aggregate marks.

LLM       

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility: LLB of three or five years with minimum 50% aggregate marks from the recognized University.

The university allows admission to all the UG and PG courses is based on an entrance examination namely CUET. The university accepts admission to the MBA program is done based on the entrance exam namely CMAT followed by GD-PI. Admission to M.Tech is the based on the performance in CUET PG/ GATE/ UGC-NET or JRF/ JEST. The university grants admission to Research courses is done based on the CUET/ NET/ GATE/ JRF/ SET followed by counseling conducted by the university or college.

·         Admission to all the Integrated PG courses at the Central University of Kashmir is based on the basis of merit secured CUET followed by the CUK counseling conducted by the university.

Central University of Kashmir is offering various UG and Integrated courses for the duration of five years. Central University of Kashmir UG Selection Criteria:

Candidates will be provided admission to the above courses based on  the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) which will be conducted by the NTA. 

·         All the candidates will be selected for admission based on the merit list of CUET and other criteria of the University.

Students will first have to register on the official website of NTA. The students eligible to appear for CUET must apply in online mode only. Studentss can check the process given below to apply:
