Assam Agricultural University (AAU) was established in 1969 in Barbheta, Jorhat, Assam. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the field of Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Home Science, Fisheries Science, Horticulture and Sericulture. Additionally, Assam Agricultural University offers a specialized MBA course in Agri-Business. Undergraduate courses span over a period of four years whereas postgraduate courses are including the specialized MBA are conducted over two years.

Assam Agricultural University is the 1st establishment of its kind within the whole of the North-Eastern Region of an Asian nation. The goal is to the preparing students for global competitions in the farm sector & to circularize the generated technologies as public smart for benefiting the food growers/ producers and traders concerned within the sector whereas action on the property, equity and overall food security at the social unit level. Assam Agricultural University B.Sc. Admission 2022

The university offers B.Sc in five different specializations. Admission into all B.Sc. courses is done through an online application on the basis of merit in the 10+2 exam. Counseling is done at the university level for this course. Candidates can fill in the admission form online and pay the entrance fee online.

Assam Agricultural University B.Sc. (Veterinary Science) Admission 2022

The university offers B.Sc. in Veterinary Science as well. The application form can be submitted online. An entrance examination (VET) is conducted by the university for this course.

The VET (Veterinary Entrance Test) is an offline test, which is held at one of the assigned centers. VET is conducted at the university level and the merit of this examination will determine admission into B.Sc. (Veterinary Science).

Applications can be submitted online and the application fee of INR 1200 must be paid on the payment gateway online itself. Subsequent to that, an admit card will be issued which will be required at the venue of the VET. Certificates of the Permanent Residence of Assam or wards of defense/para-military personnel are compulsory to ensure eligibility.

The university offers M.Sc. in four specializations. The admissions are conducted on the basis of merit in the undergraduate qualifying examination. B.Sc. or equivalent in a relevant field is required for those who wish to apply to this course.

Counseling is done at the university level on the basis of merit in undergraduate studies. Candidates can apply online through the university website. Once the form is filled, the site will redirect to a payment gateway where the application fees must be paid.

Additional to government rules regarding SC/ST, AAU has seats reserved for the residents of Assam. Candidates from other northeastern states can apply for the high fee category and the college accepts all Indian candidates in the College of Horticulture & Sericulture.
